Why I Built It
A dictionary detour could pull me away from a page for the rest of the evening. I wanted the smallest useful action to sit where the interruption happened: tap for help, long-press to save, then keep reading.
The camera follows the same rule. It starts with an object you chose to notice, so the lesson has somewhere to stand. AlterWorld grew from that preference for fewer decisions and a clearer path back to the thing that held your attention.

EPUB and TXT files are parsed on your device. Tap a word or sentence for help, long-press to save it, and continue reading without uploading the whole book.
Characters Worth Knowing
Teacher, Buddy, Poet, Cynic, and Emo approach language from different temperaments. Their answers serve the lesson first. Longer conversations leave small clues about the lives they keep outside the classroom.
Privacy Principles
- Guest Mode stores learning progress and imported reading data on the device.
- Registered users can sync account and vocabulary data through Supabase.
- User reports store the reported context and conversation snapshot for safety review.
- Account deletion is available inside the app through Profile settings.
